These Advent Competitions are all hand-picked and are the ones you must know about for 2025. There are many others around across web, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and more, but these are the ones we’ll be entering ourselves every day for a chance to win an advent prize.
You don’t need to enter all of them, just choose the ones that you like the most, but make sure you enter daily for the best chance of winning a prize!
If you’re enter Instagram competitions this year, try and enter in small batches of 1 or 2 in order to try and prevent the dreaded Instagram ban that is all too common at this time of year. It’ll also be useful to make sure your profile is fresh with some new content and interact with your friends and company profiles, rather that just limiting yourself to tagging your friends.

They’re similar to an Advent Calendar, where a new prize is revealed every day in the run-up to Christmas. Often there will be 24 prizes available from 1st to 24th December, sometimes it’s just for the first 12 days, and other times it’s just a mixed bag of prize draws.
Are Advent Competitions popular?
Yes, it’s the busiest time of year for entering competitions and they attract a lot of entries.
What are the chances of winning an Advent Competition?
They are harder to win than at other times of the year, due to the increased number of entries. However, with more prizes and competitions to enter, you can still win prizes.
We enter a lot of Advent competitions ourselves and would expect to win at least 1 or 2 prizes each year. As an example, in 2024, we won a lovely weekend break in Eastbourne and a Swarovski necklace choker. We’re hoping to win again this year!
When do Advent Competitions start?
On December 1st each year, although some companies delay their launch date until a bit later.
